Best Original Screenplay
Out of the nominees, without a doubt it would be Spotlight, however I imagine that because the Academy has a fetish for seeing Pixar win awards, I am slightly worried that Inside Out may win (despite being pretty sub-par in my honest opinion). Nevertheless hopefully the brilliance of Spotlight will be recognized here.
Best Adapted Screenplay
Right now in my opinion, it looks like either Room or Brooklyn will win the Oscar. However I do feel, having read Room, that they did a fairly poor job adapting it. Of course I can't say what kind of job they did on Brooklyn seeing as I've yet to read the original book. On terms of which I enjoyed more, I'd say Brooklyn.
