This movie has, in my opinion, one of the greatest soundtracks out there. Brilliantly written by Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell, it is easily the high point of the film.
Produced by Hanz Zimmer, the 49:00 minute soundtrack some brilliant pieces such as The Colony (Easily my favorite), The Ants go marching (based of the nursery rhyme) and The Big Shoe (Nothing special about it, I just like it).
The songs fit excellently with the scenes in which they are portrayed, including character themes. It also has a reoccuring, which shows up initially in the song The Colony and again in The Bar as well as briefly in There is a Better Place (It's hard to find but it's there!). On top of that the songs delightfully switch between jazz and classical, giving and interesting and moving texture to the soundtrack. Nevertheless you can listen to the album here : https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCE1721CFA7C32624
I hope you enjoy!
