I understand that this is not movie related, but I feel it needs to be said. Chopin is a brilliant man.
Now, many people would say, "Chopin was old fashioned even for the time" which is completely true. His goal was to bring back the music styles from the medieval era and baroque era and merge them with music from the romantic era.
But what really sets him apart is his ability to hear music beyond the sheet music. Which is why he is the guy who made Rubato (robbed time) a thing again. Nevertheless, my favourite piece by him (as said in the title) is Op 25 No.5 also known as "Wrong Note".
Now what's beautiful about this piece is stated directly in the name. The song sounds like a person screwing up over and over again. Yet there is still something incredibly beautiful behind the dissonant chords.
It was originally written for Franz Liszt's (a close friend of Chopin's) mistress, and listening to the song is made a bit more interesting knowing this, though I'm still unsure whether or not this is actually about something or just a song to sound interesting, being an etude (a short piece often used as a practice tool or a method of judging) and all.
Originally I thought it was a description of how many people saw his music, having one part being off time, off key and just generally off and another being moving, pretty and precise. But ever since discovering who it was written for as well as the fact that it was written as an etude, I'm not 100% sure any more. Nevertheless, it is arguably one of his best written songs and a personal favourite of mine check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkdgFfKIWbA
